I didn't start Urasense because I wanted to sell matcha. I started it because I couldn't find a ceremonial grade good enough for what I was making.
My matcha desserts aren't an afterthought — they're where I discovered the difference quality makes. Making matcha thumbprint cookies, matcha soft serve, matcha tiramisu — the color has to be right. The flavor has to carry through butter, cream, and sugar without disappearing. Culinary grade fails every time. The color goes army green. The flavor goes bitter.
