Red Light Therapy — What it is and how it works

Red light therapy uses low-wavelength red and near-infrared light to boost cellular energy, reduce inflammation, and support tissue repair. It is a non-invasive treatment delivered by LED panels, handheld devices, or low-power lasers designed for skin, muscle and deeper tissues depending on wavelength.

What is red light therapy?

Red light therapy, also known as photobiomodulation or low-level light therapy, delivers specific wavelengths of red and near-infrared light to tissue. The light is non-ionizing and does not damage DNA. Instead, photons are absorbed by cellular chromophores and trigger biochemical changes that improve cell function and healing.
